How to decorate in the Art Nouveau style
People often get mixed up the Art Nouveau and Art Deco style. I did it to me when I was a student. The first what to do, to understand patterns, colors and designs of the time. The Art Nouveau movement took about thirty years until 1910. This was a Style were natural forms were used for inspiration and used in an original way. You have a brilliant selection of many Epochs. In 1904 an English company Cowtan and Sons Decorating flatten used white or white enamel paint. Art Nouveau tiles
Pictorial tiles during the Art Nouveau era were popular in Belgium and France. Illustrated by Czech artist Alfons Mucha was used as the basis for the designs. This influence does not appear in England to 1920 and 1930. The art and craft continued influence in the States.
But the use of beaver tail was also very popular. Victor Horta in his own House in Brussels (now the Horta Museum) used simple white tiles on the walls and the ceiling in a brick-like fashion.
Tube-feeding was used, create motifs on beaver tail. The technique used is similar to piping frosting on a cake. The raised lines of the pattern give the tile a 3D look. Kenneth Clark Ceramics has a tube-lining Tulip border tile available.

Eco-Friendly Way
Interior Design in older styles can be a very environmentally friendly way to decorate. Visiting second hand shops, offers antique, garage sales and looking for online can be a great way to make your art nouveau treasures be found. Most importantly, a clear idea of what you want to want to spend what you start before you should. Recently I saw a few tiles from this period for sale on eBay at a very reasonable price.
Flooring
Floor was often used in the Art Nouveau era. However, Horta used Mosaic tiles in swirling patterns on the S curved floor of his house Tassel. Linoleum was also very popular. The trend colors in mats in the early 20 Century, natural, white, olive and light brown

Unfortunately, an Art Nouveau style at the most misunderstood and is often dismissed as a decorative touch line. But the original work of the architect Hector Guimard in France and Belgium in Victor Horta's easy to see. Many of Victor Horta's buildings are now located on the World Heritage List. developed in Vienna, Josef Hoffman, the "Vienna Secession" movement yet different influences from Art Nouveau. This style was less windy and more straight lined directly into their forms. Charles Rennie Macintosh, in Scotland, Antionia Gaudi in Spain and Louis Sullivan and Tiffany developed in the U.S. and every expression is a form of Art Nouveau. There was a revival of art nouveau in the 1960s and shows the style always inspire new generations.
