paper art courses
How to make an art portfolio for a college interview?

Ive Applied Art and Design course at Hugh Baird, but I havnt had the qualifications, but it said you can on your portfolio to be accepted, and yet in the art in 6th form now and predicted a destiction what kind of things should I include in my Portfolio, should I use a theme or other things, and how many pieces, and etc. on paper or canvas

From my experience (on art A'Level, College Foundation and university) they would like to see a variety of things. Do the work that you have enjoyed the most or think is your best. Show your work and final Piece, sketches and works out such things. Show things to express your creativity the most. There is not a limit to how much you want but you should not the whole day there, 8 -15 piece is probably best. Good luck!

Sparkle & Fade

Sparkle & Fade

$3.95

The Nirvana Revolution smashed opened the door for countless like-minded bands. Many were second-rate rip-offs, but Everclear was one deserving of the opportunity. Sure, the angst and crunchy post-punk riffs of Sparkle and Fade owe a debt to St. Kurt, but Art Alexakis’s own outsider tales–sample titles include “Heroin Girl” and “You Make Me Feel like a Whore”–prove piercing in a woe-is-him sort …

Telling Stories

Telling Stories

$4.07

With Telling Stories, her first album since 1995′s New Beginnings, Tracy Chapman returns to the spare, unsentimental feel of her early work. In doing so, she recaptures some of the urgency and simple melodiousness that made her debut a soulful folk-rock classic. There’s maturity here, exemplified by recurring spiritual metaphors. On “Unsung Psalm” she imagines her funeral, singing, “I’d have a hal…

Bloodletting

Concrete Blonde’s best and most mainstream album benefits considerably from a stronger focus and good production. Consistent songwriting means a lack of weak material, and the dark inflection of most of the music gives the songs an edge. The title track remains a favorite of the goth set, though it was the hit single “Joey” that garnered the most attention. The up-tempo songs are the best; “The Sk…

Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (Two-Disc Collector’s Edition)

$2.45

You won’t need a bottle of rum to enjoy Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, especially if you’ve experienced the Disneyland theme-park ride that inspired it. There’s a galleon’s worth of fun in watching Johnny Depp’s androgynous performance as Captain Jack Sparrow, a roguish pirate who could pass for the illegitimate spawn of rockers Keith Richards and Chrissie Hynde. Depp gets…
