What should I do ????? degrees ART I need an art degree that I !!!!! LOVE is a few things about me: + I love to draw (Tim Burton-style, mixed with Cat in the Hat) + I hate bug fixing work on technical + + I I hate math love freehand drawing from my mind on paper + I like a little kid + I want to become famous and make $$$$$$ I love real estate + + In the large and abstract painting on weird / scary style DEGREE options: Toy Design, Illustration, Animation and Interaction Media Jewelry Design Development Home Products Accessories Design Fashion Design Menswear Show Design (museums, shop windows)
I am an artist, like most of my friends and I will suggest you to these things: I would suggest you get Teaching certification along with one other of those careers. With a degree does not necessarily mean you will get these jobs. Experience and who you know or is as important as your studies, you need to move a great art and friendly city (I would not recommend LA) take and people. Art jobs are not easy to get, especially in these days and have the certification will be very useful as a back up. And ask yourself this question: Do you want to design really, toaster ovens, raised toilet seats and hair dryers or plastic baby crap that is thrown and are on? If you want to go into fashion, you have to move to NY, London, Toronto, Paris etc. at a certain point in order to study it seriously. A few of my friends are fashion designers and is currently in coffee shops, sweatshop work, mall stores in NY, because it does not work can be found in an oversaturated market. Another friend of mine is an animator / illustrator and worked at Disney for a year and was treated like a slave.
