Does anyone know how to fold then rip a small piece of paper, so that …..?
….. It can be opened and you can climb through. It is a complete hole. I have seen it on TV, but I'v forgotten and need to share it with my art students.
I hope I can fold describe the technique without an accompanying illustrations. First, the paper in half. Then, scisors with a sharp pair (ripping by hand will be more difficult, as these Cuts may have to be very tender) from the folded side, a cut near the end is from the fold, almost to the edge of the paper. Then, from the open end, You make a cut parallel to the first cut, go in the opposite direction, going almost to the fold. This cut as close to the first, as you can. Repeat the series of cuts to the other end of the paper, ending in the cut from the fold near the edge. Then, leaving the ends of the folded paper intact, Cut along the fold, cutting through the middle of the edges of the paper. The result, if carefully developed, should a contiguous series of zig zag, opening through in a ring, a person may step.
