Creating Framed by shells, etc.?
I try to sand a piece of framed art that a sand beach background with shells, sealife, etc. on glued. However, I have problems to know how I glue the sand and also how the heavy shells are stuck on the sand. What kind of adhesive is best to stick Real sand and shells on what is the best material for bonding purposes use, ie a screen or an actual picture frame with construction paper? HELP!
I propose before, with a purchased frame. Use a thick glue like Alene's Tacky Glue http://www.cakescookiesandcraftsshop.co.uk/acatalog/Aleene_s_Tacky_Glue.html) and mix the sand with the glue. When finished, you can place the mixture on the best in your eyes. While the sand mixture is still wet, add the shells. If necessary, add more glue / sand mixture to help, instead of the items. The larger shells in deep sand mixture and place the rest of them how you see fit. Then let It dry.
