Can anyone help me with my comic drawing more efficient?
Currently I'm drawing a comic strip. Right now it is black and white drawn in with Art pencils on Bristol paper. My problem is, I am determined that the drawing rectangular plates that go to make the comics a lot of time. I two methods with these attempts. The first method is just doing it the old fashioned way with a ruler and pen my art. The second method I use, drawing comics is the first without the rectangular plates. I then read it in the computer and use software such as Paint, the rectangular shape of my comics work, then my art work so that my work neatly fits into the plates. Both methods take a lot of time. Can anyone recommend a more efficient way to create my comic panels? I am considering the purchase the Wacom tablet, so if your answer is, please give me a little information about the product and the one to get. Thank you!
Especially for this Purpose, the tablets will offer not much help. Before computers, comic artist would pencil in the box, create drawings, pretty much ignored the exact edge of the plate, obstuct not to the creation of action figures and natural "feel" of being in real space. When finished, the artist and / or Inker, it could it borders with a straight edge and pen and ink round out the panel. Well, as often as not, the artists still create the illustrations on paper, scan and then crop and frame the drawing into the computer. This could be as fast as his "Select All" and "Stroke". in an application such as Photoshop. In other words, you would try not to fit the art, neatly harvesting the panel. "Dragging" the disk after you have reduced the illustration. Once this is done, the frames were assembled all the layout page will apply.
