What are some essential supplies equipment that you feel any true artist (drawing / painting stuff) must have?

I'm not interfere with brands for pencils – but I like 8B pencils for drawing. I also with a fountain pen and ink draw, and a fine black pen that makes a hard line. Of course, I use charcoal with white chalk on tinted paper, very striking. For paint, I tend to stick Windsor & Newton oil paints – they are given the best brand in Ireland. I get S & N for either acrylic, or Galleria when it is manageable. I tend not to use gouache if I have very good paper for them. And watercolor sees best with good paper, so I use Fabriano – I was bought in Italy last year and a lot of good cushion. For a while I had my own painting, but it does save a lot of time to either have made them or to buy it readymade. Lately I have enjoyed painting on board or on canvas board – a different kind of resistance against the canvas, I've found. I also use things practically are – carboard is fine, and you can get interesting textures, too. And lately I'm having fun with collage, which you use for just about anything can keep that glue. It's fun to use with acrylic paints.
