The symbolism of the apples ..?

Of course, if you think the symbolism of the apples, they are obliged to think of it as religious. But I am curious in workmanship. And not the religious art. I was researching Magritte in a class of mine, and he saw apples used quite frequently. (And I wrote Papers on his work of art, and so I understand that the grand scheme of them … just do not know why it is an apple). And then after I more research I saw that apples are a common symbol used in the art. Is there any meaning for apples? I looked at Apple (symbolism) on Wiki, but that was about Religion really … I have not seen a topic like religion in Magritte's work was. Not when she says that religion is one of the things that hide our true self, takes us our identity. But I have a feeling that this is not what he meant. (And no, I myself am not religious). Can anyone help me with this? Thanks

If the meaning of apples is not on paper, you have to think up something yourself – it does not have to be religious, but this story is still very strongly about Eve and the apple. For me, "apple" means "earth" or "life", and everything nice to the earth. Life on Earth. If you look at the form, it is very round, but it is not only informally on the inside, like a ball or globe. It has two points where the shape drawn toward the center is, and the line connecting them is in the middle also. This is what we have in common with the apple, as centered and straight-up-walking creatures. But compared to us an apple is more mysterious, because there is not much point to the outside. And even more boring, and it numb. You could also be read as a disability to express themselves as an individual. And religion … I think that Magritte would like to start his own. When he's not so materialistic thinkers. Re-ligare simply means "combine" as – I think that's what he wanted. Good luck with your paper, Evelien
